Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anatoly Paghava started the match with the kick off. Anatoly Paghava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Rochdale's Anatoly Paghava got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Mindia Pilievi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gocha Kikalishvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Rochdale's goal looked a bit too open when Eldar Urushadze came free, but Gocha Kikalishvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Marat Podolyakin made a precise shot to the right of Gocha Kikalishvili. Rochdale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gocha Kikalishvili came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Mevagissey's Marat Podolyakin. But to his dismay, Marat Podolyakin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sese Goraniskov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Goloviznin in the 24th minute of play forced Rochdale's goalkeeper Gocha Kikalishvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Pavel Goloviznin made a precise shot to the right of Gocha Kikalishvili. Rochdale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Rochdale's goal looked a bit too open when Marat Podolyakin came free, but Gocha Kikalishvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anatoly Paghava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rochdale's Gocha Kikalishvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mindia Pilievi in the 39th minute of play. Gocha Kikalishvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marat Podolyakin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Marat Podolyakin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eldar Urushadze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gocha Kikalishvili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gocha Kikalishvili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eldar Urushadze in the 56th minute. Uta Pawletko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoly Paghava in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Eldar Urushadze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mevagissey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rochdale the free kick. Eldar Urushadze kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Rochdale booed when Mevagissey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mindia Pilievi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rochdale's Gocha Kikalishvili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Rochdale from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes Mevagissey got a freekick which was hit by Eldar Urushadze. Rochdale's Roland Milakiev quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Irakli Mingrelsky, made in the 77th minute of the game. Roland Milakiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 played minutes Mevagissey got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Goloviznin. 95 minutes into the match, Mevagissey's Pavel Goloviznin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gocha Kikalishvili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Rochdale fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mevagissey were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
