The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sese Tsitsishvili during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Brierley Hill getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Sese Tsitsishvili hit a great ball. Gogita Torotadze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Mamporia in the 17th minute of play. Khudji Jandieri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Roman Gabelia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gogita Torotadze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Mamporia's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Zviadi Neparidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Shavleg Torotadze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Dinamo Tbilisi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brierley Hill the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Dinamo Tbilisi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Roman Gabelia, was totally fooled by Brierley Hill's Gocha Labadze, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. FC Dinamo Tbilisi's Sese Cholokaev got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dinamo Tbilisi's zone, Khristesia Sordia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Gabelia came out of the goal and Khristesia Sordia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khudji Jandieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Khristesia Sordia to make the kick off. Khudji Jandieri took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Gabelia. Roman Gabelia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 55th match minute, FC Dinamo Tbilisi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikoloz Paghava to maneuver through the defense. Gogita Torotadze was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Mamporia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 64 minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Brierley Hill's Khudji Jandieri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Gabelia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 75 minutes into the match, FC Dinamo Tbilisi's goal looked a bit too open when Khristesia Sordia came free, but Roman Gabelia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Brierley Hill's Khristesia Sordia in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Khristesia Sordia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Roman Gabelia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sese Cholokaev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogita Torotadze having to interfere. Sese Cholokaev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gogita Torotadze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Roman Mamporia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogita Torotadze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th minute, Khudji Jandieri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
