But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoly Paghava couldn't finish the play. Djondo Topnikov struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Nikoloz Shalikashvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rochdale. Sabir Gadaevi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gocha Kikalishvili having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeri Levidze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 60 minutes, Anatoly Paghava managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rochdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatoly Paghava was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Sese Goraniskov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabir Gadaevi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Porlock's Nikoloz Shalikashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatoly Paghava in the 68th minute of play. Sabir Gadaevi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gocha Kikalishvili having to interfere. Sabir Gadaevi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gocha Kikalishvili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Rochdale's goal looked a bit too open when Valeri Levidze came free, but Gocha Kikalishvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Porlock got a freekick which was hit by Valeri Levidze. Anatoly Paghava scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikoloz Shalikashvili, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Valeri Levidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th match minute, Rochdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djondo Topnikov to maneuver through the defense. The Rochdale support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
