After 19 played minutes Cornell University got a freekick which was hit by Amiran Sulaberidze. Djvebe Anghelache in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anatoly Cheishvili, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Okhoropir Topnikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sese Milakiev in the 21st minute of the match. Okhoropir Topnikov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arsen Pawletko went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Takha Londaridze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th match minute, Cornell University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davit Pozharskiy to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Djvebe Anghelache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Anatoly Cheishvili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Djvebe Anghelache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Djvebe Anghelache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cornell University were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arsen Pawletko made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind dankaras real's goalkeeper Okhoropir Topnikov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Djvebe Anghelache in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anatoly Cheishvili saved Cornell University from getting behind. Marat Shalikashvili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Anatoly Cheishvili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Djvebe Anghelache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anatoly Cheishvili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Cornell University getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Amiran Sulaberidze hit a great ball. If Djvebe Anghelache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Djvebe Anghelache managed to get in a good position for a shot. dankaras real's supporters rose to their feet, but Djvebe Anghelache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anatoly Cheishvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Djvebe Anghelache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72ndth minute of the game Djvebe Anghelache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cornell University's Anatoly Cheishvili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
