In the 2nd minute, Kutaisi FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jarji Sagharadze fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC GAGRA's Nodar Anghelache was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sese Goloviznin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nodar Anghelache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC GAGRA's Jarji Sagharadze suffered a concussion after 14 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 16th match minute, Kutaisi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiriev Andrzheevskiy to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Emiriev Khatiashvili was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kutaisi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GAGRA the free kick. After 21 played minutes Kutaisi FC got a freekick which was hit by Emiriev Khatiashvili. Nodar Anghelache might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sese Goloviznin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nodar Anghelache ran back to his position shaking his head. When Liparit Andrzheevskiy came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the FC GAGRA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liparit Andrzheevskiy couldn't finish the play. Kutaisi FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Liparit Andrzheevskiy scored to the left of an out of position Sese Goloviznin, making the score, 2-0. Nodar Anghelache might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sese Goloviznin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nodar Anghelache ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Nodar Anghelache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nodar Anghelache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 37th minute of the match Emiriev Andrzheevskiy completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Emiriev Andrzheevskiy a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Kutaisi FC's Emiriev Andrzheevskiy got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, FC GAGRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paata Mamporia to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Nodar Anghelache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sese Goloviznin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nodar Anghelache to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC GAGRA's Iveri Bitsadze got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nodar Anghelache in the 53rd minute of play forced Kutaisi FC's goalkeeper Sese Goloviznin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze's late challenge caught a FC GAGRA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze helped the player get up and apologised. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nodar Anghelache in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sese Goloviznin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucjan Walentowicz made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Kvarkvare Gvaramadze sent off a good shot on target. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC GAGRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nodar Anghelache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kutaisi FC's zone, Shota Torotadze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sese Goloviznin came out of the goal and Shota Torotadze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nodar Anghelache in the 92nd minute of play forced Kutaisi FC's goalkeeper Sese Goloviznin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Walentowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merdan Pulishvili, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC GAGRA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kutaisi FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
