Jarji Sagharadze charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarji Sagharadze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Lukhum Gagnidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valeri Labadze charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeri Labadze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Petersfield got a freekick which was hit by Valeri Labadze. A hard shot by Roman Pachalia from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Lucjan Walentowicz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lucjan Walentowicz made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Sergey Cheishvili sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Marat Paghava put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of FC GAGRA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Petersfield:s goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Jarji Sagharadze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC GAGRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarji Sagharadze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergey Cheishvili got free with Lucjan Walentowicz in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarji Sagharadze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Petersfield's zone, Paata Mamporia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tsotne Paghava came out of the goal and Paata Mamporia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Jarji Sagharadze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC GAGRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarji Sagharadze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarji Sagharadze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC GAGRA booed when Petersfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imeda Tsitsishvili didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Jarji Sagharadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Petersfield's Sergey Cheishvili sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucjan Walentowicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jarji Sagharadze struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tsotne Paghava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC GAGRA. After having played for 72 minutes, Jarji Sagharadze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC GAGRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarji Sagharadze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarji Sagharadze scored 1-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tsotne Paghava, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jarji Sagharadze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tsotne Paghava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tsotne Paghava came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by FC GAGRA's Jarji Sagharadze. But to his dismay, Jarji Sagharadze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Jarji Sagharadze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukhum Gagnidze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Lucjan Walentowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tsotne Paghava made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Iveri Bitsadze sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute Lukhum Gagnidze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Walentowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC GAGRA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC GAGRA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
