The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shota Torotadze during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bichiko Gvaramadze hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medani's goalkeeper Akim Bitsadze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sachino Babadishev in the 29th minute of play forced FC GAGRA's goalkeeper Lucjan Walentowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Liparit Andrzheevskiy took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Akim Bitsadze to make any attempt to save it. FC GAGRA's Paata Mamporia got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liparit Andrzheevskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akim Bitsadze having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sachino Babadishev to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jarji Sagharadze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Valeri Pawletko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GAGRA the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liparit Andrzheevskiy in the 60th minute of play forced Medani's goalkeeper Akim Bitsadze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Bichiko Gvaramadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Medani getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Liparit Dzotsenidze hit a great ball. Jarji Sagharadze took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Akim Bitsadze. Akim Bitsadze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to FC GAGRA getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Paata Mamporia hit a great ball. Jarji Sagharadze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akim Bitsadze having to interfere. Bakhar Magalov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Walentowicz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jarji Sagharadze managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC GAGRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarji Sagharadze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akim Bitsadze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC GAGRA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
