In the 22nd minute, FC Tbilisi 2007's Torgva Levidze ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vaja Sulakvidze. After 36 minutes of play, Marske-by-the-Sea's Merab Paghava made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrey Andrzheevskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vaja Sulakvidze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikoloz Pawletko went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Charilaos Mouzakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Andrey Andrzheevskiy made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikoloz Pawletko in the 81st minute of play forced Marske-by-the-Sea's goalkeeper Vaja Sulakvidze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Charilaos Mouzakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marske-by-the-Sea and the FC Tbilisi 2007 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Marske-by-the-Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charilaos Mouzakis to maneuver through the defense.
