Räşad Buludov's late challenge caught a GABALA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Räşad Buludov helped the player get up and apologised. Räşad Buludov hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulcämil Räfiyev in the 8th minute of play forced Gädäbäy's goalkeeper Mabud Novruzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cähät Alesrefov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mehran Osmanov having to make a save. Atlas Alişanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehran Osmanov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veyis Akubäyov in the 19th minute of play forced Gädäbäy's goalkeeper Mabud Novruzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlas Alişanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlas Alişanov struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mehran Osmanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gädäbäy.

GABALA's Mehran Osmanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abid Yusifov in the 55th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Abid Yusifov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GABALA's Mehran Osmanov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, GABALA's goal looked a bit too open when Mäcim Kazimov came free, but Mehran Osmanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GABALA's zone, Atlas Alişanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehran Osmanov came out of the goal and Atlas Alişanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Imran Äsädulla hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, GABALA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabir Bağiyev to maneuver through the defense. Nabat Rzayev, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ilham Orxanov charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilham Orxanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Gädäbäy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilham Orxanov to maneuver through the defense. If Atlas Alişanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, GABALA's goal looked a bit too open when Atlas Alişanov came free, but Mehran Osmanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gädäbäy's Atlas Alişanov fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 84th minute Atlas Alişanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehran Osmanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imran Äsädulla was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. GABALA's Mehran Osmanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abid Yusifov in the 87th minute of play. Mehran Osmanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Räşad Buludov, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, GABALA's goal looked a bit too open when Atlas Alişanov came free, but Mehran Osmanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mäcim Kazimov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehran Osmanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atlas Alişanov in the 95th minute of the match. Atlas Alişanov took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehran Osmanov. Mehran Osmanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gädäbäy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
