When Cavanşir Mirzäyev came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sabirabad Birliyi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cavanşir Mirzäyev couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inqilab Azadäliyev during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, İrəvan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inqilab Azadäliyev to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qurban Abdiyev got free with Ariz Lätifov in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored Sabirabad Birliyi's protests and gave Atilla Vermäzov a yellow card for diving instead. Sabirabad Birliyi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Märdan Yusubov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Atilla Vermäzov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İrəvan FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
