After 5 played minutes İçərişəhər FK got a freekick which was hit by Fikrät Ağamaliyev. Bähräm Imamäliyev made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Yaqub Bünyatov sent off a good shot on target. After 13 played minutes Postal FC got a freekick which was hit by Müslüm Abuzärov. After 14 minutes, Dämir Salmanov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Postal FC and the İçərişəhər FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of İçərişəhər FK booed when Postal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dämir Salmanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yunis Talıbzadä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. İçərişəhər FK's Yaqub Bünyatov got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Mustafa Äläkbärov made a precise shot to the right of Teyyub Baxışov. İçərişəhər FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.
