Paşa Ulusoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bähräm Imamäliyev having to interfere. Cälilabad MKT's Paşa Ulusoy got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Postal FC's Bähräm Imamäliyev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ikram Ağalarov in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Postal FC defense, Ikram Ağalarov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bähräm Imamäliyev. The Postal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bähräm Imamäliyev should have stopped the shot. If Paşa Ulusoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Postal FC's Zaur Zeynälzadä got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dämir Salmanov's late challenge caught a Cälilabad MKT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dämir Salmanov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Dämir Salmanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paşa Ulusoy struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Bähräm Imamäliyev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cälilabad MKT. Bähräm Imamäliyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paşa Ulusoy in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ikram Ağalarov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th of the match, Ikram Ağalarov tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Bähräm Imamäliyev got in the way and made a wonderful save. Zeynal-Ziräddin Alverdiyev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müslüm Abuzärov, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dämir Salmanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zaur Zeynälzadä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ibrahim Äzizbäyli charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ibrahim Äzizbäyli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ibrahim Äzizbäyli hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Äläkbärov in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeynal-Ziräddin Alverdiyev saved Cälilabad MKT from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ikram Ağalarov in the 71st minute of play forced Postal FC's goalkeeper Bähräm Imamäliyev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Sabir Äsädli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cälilabad MKT and the Postal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Cälilabad MKT got a freekick which was hit by Sabir Äsädli. Zeynal-Ziräddin Alverdiyev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Äläkbärov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Cälilabad MKT's goal looked a bit too open when Zaur Zeynälzadä came free, but Zeynal-Ziräddin Alverdiyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ikram Ağalarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Müslüm Abuzärov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Postal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cälilabad MKT the free kick. After 91 played minutes Postal FC got a freekick which was hit by Müslüm Abuzärov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ikram Ağalarov in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bähräm Imamäliyev saved Postal FC from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Cälilabad MKT's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Äläkbärov came free, but Zeynal-Ziräddin Alverdiyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Postal FC's Bähräm Imamäliyev got control of the ball when Paşa Ulusoy tried to sneak it across the goal line.
