Şärif Abdulhämidov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ikram Färruxov in the 18th minute. Şärif Abdulhämidov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Äfran Äläkbärov in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Ikram Färruxov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mövsüm Albändayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aqil Ähäcanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Äfran Äläkbärov in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şärif Abdulhämidov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Äfran Äläkbärov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naxçıvan's supporters rose to their feet, but Äfran Äläkbärov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şärif Abdulhämidov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mövsüm Albändayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qüdrät Yusifov in the 37th minute of the match. If Aqil Ähäcanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Äfran Äläkbärov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Şärif Abdulhämidov. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Qayıb Mahmudlu's late challenge caught a Zängilan PFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Qayıb Mahmudlu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Naxçıvan getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Qayıb Mahmudlu hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Äfran Äläkbärov to make the kick off. When Äfran Äläkbärov came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Naxçıvan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Äfran Äläkbärov couldn't finish the play. Zängilan PFK's Şärif Abdulhämidov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Möhübbät Dursunov in the 54th minute of play. Ikram Färruxov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mövsüm Albändayev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aqil Ähäcanov went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Äfran Äläkbärov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şärif Abdulhämidov having to interfere. Rauf Räfiyev hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Qüdrät Yusifov struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mövsüm Albändayev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zängilan PFK. Aqil Ähäcanov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Mövsüm Albändayev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zängilan PFK's Aqil Ähäcanov was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 90th minute, Äfran Äläkbärov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şärif Abdulhämidov was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
