Arzuman Alesrefov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bent Raison's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Arzuman Alesrefov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ağam Tähmäzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The attack was good, but when Bent Raison in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Bent Raison's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arzuman Alesrefov firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elbrus Cälalov during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elbrus Cälalov kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Hüsü Ağasiyev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feruz Abbasäliyev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Stepanakert PFC defense, Bent Raison kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arzuman Alesrefov. The Stepanakert PFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arzuman Alesrefov should have stopped the shot. After 36 played minutes Ağam Tähmäzov rounded Stepanakert PFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The supporters of Qarabag CF booed when Stepanakert PFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elbrus Cälalov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bent Raison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arzuman Alesrefov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feruz Abbasäliyev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Räfqan Abdulhäşimov in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Qarabag CF's goal looked a bit too open when Hüsü Ağasiyev came free, but Feruz Abbasäliyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hüsü Ağasiyev made a kick off. Ilkin Lätifov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arzuman Alesrefov having to interfere. Akif Zamanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bent Raison in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arzuman Alesrefov saved Stepanakert PFC from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Qarabag CF got a freekick which was hit by Eşqin Ağacanov. Hüsü Ağasiyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Nasos Chomatas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qarabag CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stepanakert PFC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Qarabag CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Elbrus Cälalov got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 82nd minute, Elbrus Cälalov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Qarabag CF's goalkeeper Feruz Abbasäliyev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Malik Salamov put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stepanakert PFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Ädalät Äbdilov kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Arzuman Alesrefov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müşfiq Qäribov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ädalät Äbdilov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Feruz Abbasäliyev made a huge save. 98 minutes into the match, Stepanakert PFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ağam Tähmäzov came free, but Arzuman Alesrefov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arzuman Alesrefov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Häsän Zülfüqarov in the 99th minute of play. 100 minutes into the game, Ağam Tähmäzov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qarabag CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stepanakert PFC the free kick. In the 100th match minute, Qarabag CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ağam Tähmäzov to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Qarabag CF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
