The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Tacir Baxışov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ämircan's Yasin Adigözälov. Yasin Adigözälov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Ämircan getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Täbriz Abdulxaliqov hit a great ball. Yasin Adigözälov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elgiz Alcanov in the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Imran Balacayev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Naftalan PFC got a freekick which was hit by Älirza Alduxov. With an all-out effort, Ämircan's Göyüş Abişov threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Täbriz Abdulxaliqov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tacir Baxışov scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yasin Adigözälov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Imran Balacayev got free with Göyüş Abişov in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Ämircan fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Ämircan's Täbriz Abdulxaliqov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ämircan's Yasin Adigözälov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Queiroz in the 37th minute of play. Äli Äläkbärov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göyüş Abişov having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Ämircan got a freekick which was hit by Ilham Seyidov. The supporters of Ämircan booed when Naftalan PFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawid Pietrowski didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Göyüş Abişov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Äli Äläkbärov in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Älirza Alduxov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Naftalan PFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Yasin Adigözälov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elgiz Alcanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Ämircan got a freekick which was hit by Äli Äläkbärov. Vüqar Älişov's late challenge caught a Ämircan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vüqar Älişov helped the player get up and apologised. Vüqar Älişov hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Täbriz Abdulxaliqov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Göyüş Abişov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Imran Balacayev in the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Naftalan PFC's zone, Imran Balacayev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göyüş Abişov came out of the goal and Imran Balacayev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Säbuhi Näcäfov kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Göyüş Abişov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Täbriz Abdulxaliqov in the 81st minute of play. Ilham Seyidov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Göyüş Abişov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Älirza Alduxov kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Äli Äläkbärov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Göyüş Abişov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 94 minutes of play, Ämircan's Imran Balacayev made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Göyüş Abişov was left in no man's land by his defense there!
