Älämdar Abdulxälilov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Elnur Äsädov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Stepanakert's goal looked a bit too open when Ähmädağa Färruxov came free, but Yaqub Xudaverdiyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yaqub Xudaverdiyev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyfäddin Sälimov in the 12th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Sabit Bähramov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stepanakert and the Bärdä players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Sabit Bähramov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bärdä's Ähmädağa Färruxov got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Älämdar Abdulxälilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yaqub Xudaverdiyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ähmädağa Färruxov in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bärdä's zone, Cahan Bayramzadä stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elnur Äsädov came out of the goal and Cahan Bayramzadä tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bärdä! After a rather tough play, Bärdä's Araz Salahov got a free kick in the 31st minute. Feyruz Budaqov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elnur Äsädov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Cahan Bayramzadä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Elnur Äsädov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seyfäddin Sälimov in the 37th minute of play forced Stepanakert's goalkeeper Yaqub Xudaverdiyev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bärdä getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Idris Alverdiyev hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Feyruz Budaqov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Ramiz Ibadov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Elnur Äsädov, passed just outside the right post. When Emin Väliyev, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 43 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Elnur Äsädov was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Araz Salahov hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seyfäddin Sälimov to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Stepanakert's Ziräddin Ağamirzadä got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Idris Alverdiyev kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Idris Alverdiyev charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Idris Alverdiyev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ähmädağa Färruxov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Yaqub Xudaverdiyev made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stepanakert fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! 87 minutes into the match, Stepanakert's Emin Väliyev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elnur Äsädov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cahan Bayramzadä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ähmädağa Färruxov got free with Yaqub Xudaverdiyev in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that Stepanakert were the better team. Stepanakert's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
