With an all-out effort, Ämircan's Arzuman Alesrefov threw himself towards the right post 2 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Täbriz Abdulxaliqov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Imran Balacayev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Arzuman Alesrefov made a huge save. A collision led to Ämircan getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Isgändär Fätäliyev hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, Stepanakert PFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüsü Ağasiyev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ämircan booed when Stepanakert PFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ädalät Äbdilov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ämircan's Täbriz Abdulxaliqov got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Ämircan's goal looked a bit too open when Hüsü Ağasiyev came free, but Yasin Adigözälov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Stepanakert PFC's goal looked a bit too open when Täbriz Abdulxaliqov came free, but Arzuman Alesrefov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yasin Adigözälov came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stepanakert PFC's Hüsü Ağasiyev. But to his dismay, Hüsü Ağasiyev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Isgändär Fätäliyev got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Stepanakert PFC booed when Ämircan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isgändär Fätäliyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ämircan's goal looked a bit too open when Hüsü Ağasiyev came free, but Yasin Adigözälov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Räfqan Abdulhäşimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ämircan's Ilham Seyidov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arzuman Alesrefov. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. When Suban Äbdilov fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ämircan's protests and gave Suban Äbdilov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Räfqan Abdulhäşimov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yasin Adigözälov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Stepanakert PFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hüsü Ağasiyev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 50th minute of the game. One of Stepanakert PFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ämircan:s goal. Täbriz Abdulxaliqov placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in Stepanakert PFC's zone, Äli Äläkbärov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arzuman Alesrefov came out of the goal and Äli Äläkbärov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yasin Adigözälov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüsü Ağasiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Äli Äläkbärov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arzuman Alesrefov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yasin Adigözälov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elbrus Cälalov in the 68th minute of the match. Räfqan Abdulhäşimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasin Adigözälov having to interfere. During the 73rd minute of the match Ädalät Äbdilov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ädalät Äbdilov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Ämircan booed when Stepanakert PFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ädalät Äbdilov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Stepanakert PFC's Aslan Abduyev got a free kick in the 75th minute. Hüsü Ağasiyev charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hüsü Ağasiyev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stepanakert PFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hüsü Ağasiyev hit a great ball. After 80 minutes of play, Stepanakert PFC's Elbrus Cälalov made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yasin Adigözälov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Malik Salamov hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Räfqan Abdulhäşimov got free with Yasin Adigözälov in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Imran Balacayev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arzuman Alesrefov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elbrus Cälalov in the 97th minute of play forced Ämircan's goalkeeper Yasin Adigözälov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
