Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nazım Özgenalp made the kick off which started today's match. Nazım Özgenalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gholam Reza Abpakhshi having to interfere. PersePolis's Norberto Eron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shahab Heidari in the 12th minute of play. Norberto Eron came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Norwich AFC's Shahab Heidari. But to his dismay, Shahab Heidari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nazım Özgenalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gholam Reza Abpakhshi having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nazım Özgenalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manouchehr Bayat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Gholam Reza Abpakhshi made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shahab Heidari during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Shahab Heidari kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Zartosht Fallah Hamidabadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naser Khalatbari in the 33rd minute of play. Nazım Özgenalp came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gholam Reza Abpakhshi could save by the left post. Ronaldo Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PersePolis's Yashar Samereh got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nazım Özgenalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shahab Heidari in the 43rd minute of play forced PersePolis's goalkeeper Norberto Eron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shahab Heidari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, PersePolis's Norberto Eron got control of the ball when Shahab Heidari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nazım Özgenalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gholam Reza Abpakhshi having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Nazım Özgenalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazım Özgenalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Norwich AFC's Shahab Heidari got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Shahab Heidari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 85 minutes of play, PersePolis's Naser Khalatbari made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nazım Özgenalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gholam Reza Abpakhshi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-3 became the score in the 94th minute when sam Maleki elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Norwich AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over PersePolis's much stronger midfield.
