Kayvan Shakouri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heydar Hatami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Elsdon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Heydar Hatami came free, but Kayvan Shakouri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kayvan Shakouri was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Heydar Hatami capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Heydar Hatami really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Kayvan Shakouri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fariborz Sharifinasab in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Elsdon AFC's zone, Heydar Hatami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kayvan Shakouri came out of the goal and Heydar Hatami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fariborz Sharifinasab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heydar Hatami in the 43rd minute of play forced Elsdon AFC's goalkeeper Kayvan Shakouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kayvan Shakouri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heydar Hatami in the 95th minute of play forced Elsdon AFC's goalkeeper Kayvan Shakouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Chorley players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
