Behrouz Samereh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Arman Mahdavikia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shervin Shams. Waterfoot FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arman Mahdavikia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bamdad Artoonian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamyar Shamsaei having to interfere. After some careless play in the Redbourn defense, Behrang Homayoun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamyar Shamsaei. The Redbourn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamyar Shamsaei should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Waterfoot FC's zone, Rostam Forouzan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shervin Shams came out of the goal and Rostam Forouzan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shervin Shams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Mahdavikia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Redbourn getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sina Izadpanah hit a great ball. When Jafar Dabir fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waterfoot FC's protests and gave Jafar Dabir a yellow card for diving instead. Jafar Dabir kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Davood Sharifinasab's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shervin Shams read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Davood Sharifinasab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot FC's Abou Ali Sadeghian got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Arman Mahdavikia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Shervin Shams made a huge save. Redbourn's Rostam Forouzan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Waterfoot FC got a freekick which was hit by Pejman Homayoun. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot FC's Pejman Homayoun got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The Waterfoot FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Waterfoot FC's Behrang Homayoun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arman Mahdavikia charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
