A collision led to Redbourn getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Navid Farahani hit a great ball. When Davood Sarlak fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ifk göteborg's protests and gave Davood Sarlak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Davood Sarlak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sina Izadpanah in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shahrooz Heidari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Ifk göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Davood Sharifinasab came free, but Shahrooz Heidari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Davood Sarlak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ifk göteborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Davood Sarlak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamyar Shamsaei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arman Mahdavikia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shahrooz Heidari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arman Mahdavikia's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Shahrooz Heidari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rostam Forouzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sina Izadpanah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shahrooz Heidari having to interfere. The Ifk göteborg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Redbourn were winning 1-2.

Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Shahrooz Heidari successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Davood Sharifinasab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Shahrooz Heidari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rostam Forouzan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Shahrooz Heidari when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hami Shakibaei charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hami Shakibaei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hami Shakibaei kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ifk göteborg's Shahrooz Heidari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ifk göteborg from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sina Izadpanah in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shahrooz Heidari saved Ifk göteborg from getting behind. In the 91st minute of the match Jalil Alavi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shahrooz Heidari skillfully saved the ball. Tirdad Hamidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shahrooz Heidari having to interfere. Redbourn played a much better game than Ifk göteborg and deserved their victory. The Ifk göteborg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
