Gholam Bozorgzadeh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zakaria Fazel in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Thrillers's Kayvan Shahbazi got a free kick in the 15th minute. South Shields's Amir Parsa Tabatabaei couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thrillers. A hard shot 18 in the game by Mani Ghanad from a close distance when the talented Farshad Roudbarian managed to make a qualified save. Thrillers's players were relieved. Farshad Roudbarian didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in South Shields's zone, Zakaria Fazel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gholam Bozorgzadeh came out of the goal and Zakaria Fazel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Zakaria Fazel came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Thrillers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zakaria Fazel couldn't finish the play. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for South Shields! In the 30th minute, Mani Ghanad fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 33 minutes into the match, Thrillers's goalkeeper Farshad Roudbarian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mani Ghanad. A collision led to Thrillers getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. sam Jalali hit a great ball. South Shields's Amir Parsa Tabatabaei couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thrillers. Kayvan Shahbazi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Thrillers's goalkeeper Farshad Roudbarian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mani Ghanad.

The wind increased when Zakaria Fazel made the kick off in the second half. If Mani Ghanad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thrillers's Farshad Roudbarian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mani Ghanad in the 53rd minute of play. South Shields's Gholam Bozorgzadeh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save South Shields from getting a goal against them. Sohrab Nekounam might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farshad Roudbarian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sohrab Nekounam ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Mani Ghanad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The South Shields fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Zakaria Fazel fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thrillers's protests and gave Zakaria Fazel a yellow card for diving instead. Thrillers's Farshad Roudbarian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mani Ghanad in the 72nd minute of play. Farshad Roudbarian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sohrab Nekounam in the 73rd minute of play. Mani Ghanad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Farshad Roudbarian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, South Shields's goal looked a bit too open when Zakaria Fazel came free, but Gholam Bozorgzadeh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Sohrab Nekounam put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Farshad Roudbarian. After having played for 88 minutes, Sohrab Nekounam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Shields's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sohrab Nekounam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gholam Bozorgzadeh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zakaria Fazel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zakaria Fazel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gholam Bozorgzadeh having to interfere. Thrillers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
