Gholam Naghdabadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Shields. Navid Babakan charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Navid Babakan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Navid Babakan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abtin Shojaei's late challenge caught a Heybridge Basin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abtin Shojaei helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes South Shields got a freekick which was hit by Abtin Shojaei. If Touraj Rezazadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Iman Tamadon came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Heybridge Basin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iman Tamadon couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iman Tamadon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ashkan Firoozabadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gholam Naghdabadi having to interfere. Iman Tamadon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rashid Kaebi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Gholam Naghdabadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salar Azizi in the 64th minute of the match. Hadi Emad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashid Kaebi having to interfere. Gholam Naghdabadi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salar Azizi's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Amir Shamsaei fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Shields's protests and gave Amir Shamsaei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, South Shields was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amir Shamsaei to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Salar Azizi managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Shields's supporters rose to their feet, but Salar Azizi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gholam Naghdabadi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rashid Kaebi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iman Tamadon in the 78th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iman Tamadon in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rashid Kaebi saved South Shields from getting behind. If Touraj Rezazadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Heybridge Basin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Touraj Rezazadeh came free, but Gholam Naghdabadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rashid Kaebi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iman Tamadon in the 89th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. South Shields had won after a very even match.
