In the 3rd match minute, VIVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asghar Kaebi to maneuver through the defense. Pasha Rahnama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asghar Kaebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asghar Kaebi in the 13th minute of play forced Perspolis's goalkeeper Pasha Rahnama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Asghar Kaebi managed to get in a good position for a shot. VIVA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Asghar Kaebi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pasha Rahnama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Younes Ghomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asghar Kaebi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pasha Rahnama having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Perspolis's zone, Younes Ghomi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasha Rahnama came out of the goal and Younes Ghomi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Younes Ghomi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pasha Rahnama. Perspolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Younes Ghomi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Farzam Aghili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Behrad Barzegar from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Farzin Sohrabpour's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pasha Rahnama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Younes Ghomi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, VIVA FC's Ardavan Sanei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pasha Rahnama made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Pasha Rahnama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Younes Ghomi in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to VIVA FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mehrab Shojaei hit a great ball. The Perspolis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VIVA FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shahyar Jabbari was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shahyar Jabbari in the 54th minute of play forced VIVA FC's goalkeeper Farzin Sohrabpour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ardavan Sanei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Perspolis's goal looked a bit too open when Ardavan Sanei came free, but Pasha Rahnama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ardavan Sanei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Pasha Rahnama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute of the game Behrad Barzegar made a throw-in which Payam Sharifi played forward. 64 minutes into the match, VIVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amin Akbarpour came free, but Farzin Sohrabpour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Ardavan Sanei dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pasha Rahnama, 0-3. Younes Ghomi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Pasha Rahnama made a huge save. Perspolis's Pasha Rahnama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardavan Sanei in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Perspolis booed when VIVA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asghar Mousavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farzin Sohrabpour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shahyar Jabbari in the 74th minute of the match. VIVA FC were furious when Sadegh Ghasemi was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 75th minute, one of VIVA FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VIVA FC. Behrad Barzegar placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 82nd minute Payam Sharifi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farzin Sohrabpour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pasha Rahnama made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Younes Ghomi sent off a good shot on target. Farzin Sohrabpour didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shahyar Jabbari went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Perspolis's Shahyar Jabbari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farzin Sohrabpour narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Farzin Sohrabpour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Payam Sharifi, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Perspolis's zone, Younes Ghomi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasha Rahnama came out of the goal and Younes Ghomi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
