Barnard Castle's Massoud Eshkevari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Barnard Castle from getting a goal against them. Asad Farhadian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Behzad Fatemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Barnard Castle's Massoud Eshkevari got control of the ball when Farzam Rezazadeh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Behzad Fatemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Massoud Razzaghi in the 33rd minute of play. Dawlish United's Borzoo Sohrabpour got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Borzoo Sohrabpour was the one to do the kick off. Farzam Rezazadeh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Massoud Eshkevari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barnard Castle's Massoud Eshkevari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farzam Rezazadeh in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Barnard Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashkan Forouzan to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Kianoosh Sajjadi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Massoud Eshkevari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Dawlish United booed when Barnard Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faramarz Ghasemlou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borzoo Sohrabpour got in the 62nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Massoud Eshkevari handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A collision led to Barnard Castle getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ashkan Forouzan hit a great ball. If Borzoo Sohrabpour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Farzam Rezazadeh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Massoud Eshkevari having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Borzoo Sohrabpour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Massoud Eshkevari was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Farzam Rezazadeh sped through Barnard Castle's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Massoud Eshkevari. After 76 minutes, Esmaeel Karimi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dawlish United and the Barnard Castle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Behzad Fatemi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ghobad Tamadon. Farzam Rezazadeh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Massoud Eshkevari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dawlish United fully deserved thier win.
