An unexpectedly hard shot by Fardad Rohani in the 7th minute of play forced meshki mashhad's goalkeeper Morteza Faryadshiran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Aram Ghasemi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Omid Ghomi to make any attempt to save it. Morteza Faryadshiran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fardad Rohani in the 15th minute of the match. Morteza Faryadshiran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fardad Rohani's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 19 minutes, Vafa Nikbakht-Vahedi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luton and the meshki mashhad players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Luton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vafa Nikbakht-Vahedi to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes, Luton's Esmaeel Pashazadeh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Morteza Faryadshiran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Luton reached it. Morteza Faryadshiran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azad Hajrezaei in the 23rd minute of play. Azad Hajrezaei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morteza Faryadshiran having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amir Mahdi Alipour during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Luton booed when meshki mashhad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Mahdi Alipour didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Luton were awarded a corner. Zakaria Zarghami went to the cornerflag to take it. Luton's Azad Hajrezaei was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Morteza Faryadshiran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Azad Hajrezaei to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, meshki mashhad's Kian Rohani got a free kick in the 54th minute. Amir Mahdi Alipour hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Morteza Faryadshiran made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Fardad Rohani sent off a good shot on target. Fardad Rohani might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Morteza Faryadshiran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fardad Rohani ran back to his position shaking his head. Azad Hajrezaei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morteza Faryadshiran having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match, Fardad Rohani got a very nice opportunity to score, but Morteza Faryadshiran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Luton's Azad Hajrezaei in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. That made the score 1-1 in the 81 minute of play. meshki mashhad's Morteza Faryadshiran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save meshki mashhad from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind meshki mashhad's goalkeeper Morteza Faryadshiran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Morteza Faryadshiran made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Fardad Rohani sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, meshki mashhad's Morteza Faryadshiran got control of the ball when Tirdad Bazargan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Luton players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
