Lytham's Faraz Marfavi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sattar Jalali in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Farjad Hashemzadeh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bayton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Farjad Hashemzadeh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faraz Marfavi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute of the match Hamid Farzanian shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faraz Marfavi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sattar Jalali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Farjad Hashemzadeh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faraz Marfavi having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Kamran Ghanoun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A hard shot 45 in the game by Sasan Razzaghi from a close distance when the talented Kamran Ghanoun managed to make a qualified save. Bayton City's players were relieved. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehdi Mahdavikia to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bayton City's goal looked a bit too open when Sasan Razzaghi came free, but Kamran Ghanoun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sasan Razzaghi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamran Ghanoun having to interfere. Ali Reza Ostadasadi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 93 minutes into the match, Bayton City's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdi Mahdavikia came free, but Kamran Ghanoun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mehdi Mahdavikia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Sasan Razzaghi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lytham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sasan Razzaghi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
