After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lytham! Babak Faryadshiran walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Uffington's Pirooz Taami got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Arya Babakan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faraz Marfavi. Lytham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arya Babakan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Arya Babakan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammad Rezazadeh charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohammad Rezazadeh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lytham's Mohammad Rezazadeh got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Pirooz Taami had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faraz Marfavi. Lytham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pirooz Taami was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Faraz Marfavi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arya Babakan's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, Lytham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anoushiravan Zahraei to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Uffington got a corner. Lytham's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Babak Faryadshiran ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Pirooz Taami managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uffington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pirooz Taami was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lytham's zone, Arya Babakan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faraz Marfavi came out of the goal and Arya Babakan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Pirooz Taami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faraz Marfavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lytham's zone, Hooshmand Omrani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faraz Marfavi came out of the goal and Hooshmand Omrani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pirooz Taami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arya Babakan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faraz Marfavi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anoushiravan Zahraei during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute Arya Babakan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faraz Marfavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anoush Zare charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anoush Zare the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Anoush Zare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faraz Marfavi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pirooz Taami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Uffington were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arya Babakan made a kick off. Arya Babakan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faraz Marfavi having to interfere. Pirooz Taami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Arya Babakan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faraz Marfavi was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pirooz Taami got free with Faraz Marfavi in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the game, Sasan Razzaghi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Morad Artoonian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faraz Marfavi had great luck who in the 66thth minute grab hold of the ball when Arya Babakan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, Lytham's Anoushiravan Zahraei got a free kick in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Pirooz Taami dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Faraz Marfavi, 1-3. Pirooz Taami's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Faraz Marfavi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anoushiravan Zahraei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Morad Artoonian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Arya Babakan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faraz Marfavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pirooz Taami got free with Faraz Marfavi in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Sasan Razzaghi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lytham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match was over Uffington could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lytham throughout the match.
