The Petros United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 18th minute Jahanshah Shirzad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ashkan Rahnama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petros United's Mehrak Borhani got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehrak Borhani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ashkan Rahnama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashkan Rahnama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jahanshah Shirzad in the 25th minute of the match. Petros United's Mohammad Reza Karobi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behrang Forouzan in the 27th minute of play. Mehrak Borhani might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashkan Rahnama. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehrak Borhani ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jahanshah Shirzad in the 38th minute of play forced Tufnell Park's goalkeeper Ashkan Rahnama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. sam Abadian hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Bamshad Farahmand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Reza Karobi having to interfere.
