Farid Sohrabpour took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rahim Ghoreishi. Rahim Ghoreishi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Birkenhead's Jalal Taleblou seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jalal Taleblou the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Birkenhead protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jalal Taleblou had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Birkenhead:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pars FC:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Farhang Abpakhshi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Farhang Abpakhshi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sadra Kazemzadeh to make the kick off.
