Delawar Najam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moazzam Sultan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Haidar Mehmood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newport United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haidar Mehmood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Newport United's Haidar Mehmood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delawar Najam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Naveed Arslan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crowthorne City's supporters rose to their feet, but Naveed Arslan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rahman Munir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moazzam Sultan scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delawar Najam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Moazzam Sultan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delawar Najam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Atif Jamal fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crowthorne City's protests and gave Atif Jamal a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Crowthorne City got a freekick which was hit by Atif Jamal. Crowthorne City's Delawar Najam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moazzam Sultan in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Crowthorne City getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Atif Jamal hit a great ball. Delawar Najam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haidar Mehmood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moazzam Sultan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Delawar Najam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Newport United booed when Crowthorne City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moazzam Shan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newport United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Delawar Dar in the 43rd minute. The corner ended in Delawar Dar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Crowthorne City's Delawar Najam did a great save.

The wind increased when Amjad Anees made the kick off in the second half. Haidar Mehmood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delawar Najam having to interfere. Haidar Mehmood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was a penalty for Crowthorne City! In the 90th minute, one of Crowthorne City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Crowthorne City. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Newport United's Delawar Dar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Delawar Najam. Haidar Mehmood struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Delawar Najam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newport United. Newport United's Moazzam Sultan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
