Saad Usmani's late challenge caught a Godmanchester FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saad Usmani helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Godmanchester FC booed when Cheadle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harvey Machin during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azmat Kiyani in the 44th minute of play forced Godmanchester FC's goalkeeper Tosh Rotherfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Godmanchester FC's zone, Khurram Zubair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tosh Rotherfield came out of the goal and Khurram Zubair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brad Blower stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Azmat Kiyani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 61 minutes, Khurram Zubair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheadle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khurram Zubair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cheadle booed when Godmanchester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodd Blowman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Khurram Zubair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Blower sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheadle's Saad Usmani got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Saad Usmani off the ground. In the 82nd minute, Saad Usmani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Daniel Bow sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cheadle's Razi Ahsan didn't even have to move. Abdullah Khalid charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdullah Khalid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abdullah Khalid hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cheadle's zone, Brad Blower stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Razi Ahsan came out of the goal and Brad Blower tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Cheadle got a freekick which was hit by Azmat Kiyani. After 96 minutes of play Cheadle's Azmat Kiyani was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Azmat Kiyani hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Godmanchester FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cheadle.
