Spectators: 6951 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Junaid Zaheer made the kick off which started today's match. Mudassar Azhar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Deveraux having to interfere. Franz Hyde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vernon Fordham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute of the match Mudasser Dar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steven Deveraux skillfully saved the ball. After 17 played minutes Eltham FC got a freekick which was hit by Sid Parkin. When Jasper Greaves came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Eltham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jasper Greaves couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Eltham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sufyan Akram came free, but Steven Deveraux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franz Hyde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saad Zahid having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Cottered's Junaid Zaheer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steven Deveraux narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Mudassar Azhar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Deveraux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junaid Zaheer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Mudassar Azhar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steven Deveraux was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Steven Deveraux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junaid Zaheer in the 46th minute of the match. If Mudassar Azhar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Hyde in the 52nd minute of play forced Cottered's goalkeeper Saad Zahid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steven Deveraux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junaid Zaheer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Junaid Zaheer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eltham FC's Steven Deveraux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Junaid Zaheer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mudassar Azhar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Vernon Fordham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Deveraux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junaid Zaheer, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Steven Deveraux made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Mudassar Azhar sent off a good shot on target. Mudassar Azhar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Steven Deveraux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eltham FC's zone, Junaid Zaheer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Deveraux came out of the goal and Junaid Zaheer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Junaid Zaheer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Deveraux having to interfere. When the match was over Cottered could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Eltham FC throughout the match.
