Seating: 1505, VIP seats: 5) After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Franz Hyde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eltham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franz Hyde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aftab Fida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steven Deveraux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ateeq Usman in the 11th minute of the match. After 12 minutes, Sid Parkin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eltham FC and the Coleford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Franz Hyde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vernon Fordham in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aftab Fida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ijaz Sajid charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ijaz Sajid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Coleford getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Coleford. 39 minutes into the match, Eltham FC's Franz Hyde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aftab Fida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franz Hyde took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aftab Fida. Aftab Fida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 46 minutes into the match, Coleford's goal looked a bit too open when Vernon Fordham came free, but Aftab Fida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Eltham FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ateeq Usman was the one to do the kick off. Vernon Fordham struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Aftab Fida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eltham FC. After a rather tough play, Coleford's Amjad Jaffar got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ateeq Usman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ateeq Usman came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Coleford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ateeq Usman couldn't finish the play. Martyn Newell charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martyn Newell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eltham FC! The referee gave Coleford a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raza Zohaib, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Eltham FC's Steven Deveraux. 1-1. 90 minutes into the game, Eltham FC's Franz Hyde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aftab Fida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Franz Hyde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Aftab Fida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eltham FC's zone, Amjad Jaffar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Deveraux came out of the goal and Amjad Jaffar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eltham FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
