In the 14th minute Ghalib Aijaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aftab Fida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aftab Fida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ghalib Aijaz's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Petersfield's Ghalib Aijaz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Coleford's Aftab Fida got control of the ball when Hanif Abbas tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ghalib Aijaz in the 27th minute of play forced Coleford's goalkeeper Aftab Fida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aftab Fida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghalib Aijaz in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petersfield! Hanif Abbas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Aftab Fida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ghalib Aijaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aftab Fida came out and tried to block the shot, but Ghalib Aijaz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 40th minute. When Petersfield's Ghalib Aijaz in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coleford's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ghalib Aijaz to make the kick off. Petersfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghalib Aijaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aftab Fida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hanif Abbas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Safdar Shamshad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
