Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Saltash's Parvaiz Kashif started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shafqat Zahid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rahman Qalander in the 10th minute. Parvaiz Kashif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Parvaiz Kashif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 19 played minutes Great Ayton` got a freekick which was hit by Saad Imtiaz. In the 21st minute Parvaiz Kashif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shafqat Zahid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ijaz Kurd in the 23rd minute of play forced Saltash's goalkeeper Yasir Kiyani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yasir Kiyani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ijaz Kurd, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Amjad Qureshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Great Ayton`'s Ijaz Kurd got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yasir Kiyani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amjad Qureshi went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Yasir Kiyani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ijaz Kurd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Parvaiz Kashif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahman Qalander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shafqat Zahid having to interfere. When Waqas Qadri fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saltash's protests and gave Waqas Qadri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Saltash was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waqas Qadri to maneuver through the defense. Yasir Kiyani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amjad Qureshi in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ijaz Kurd was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Saltash booed when Great Ayton` was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayub Raja didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Kamil Qamar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shafqat Zahid showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 53 minutes, Ayub Raja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Ayton` and the Saltash players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ayub Raja kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Amjad Qureshi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Yasir Kiyani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ijaz Kurd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasir Kiyani having to interfere. When Amjad Qureshi came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Great Ayton` fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amjad Qureshi couldn't finish the play. Amjad Qureshi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Yasir Kiyani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 67th minute, Kamil Azhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sajjad Butt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Shafqat Zahid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parvaiz Kashif in the 70th minute of play. Yasir Kiyani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayub Raja in the 73rd minute of the match. Amjad Qureshi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amjad Qureshis short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Yasir Kiyani to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 78th minute, Waqas Qadri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rahman Qalander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shafqat Zahid having to interfere. Amjad Qureshi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yasir Kiyani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Parvaiz Kashif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shafqat Zahid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rahman Qalander in the 94th minute of play. Parvaiz Kashif struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Shafqat Zahid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saltash. The Great Ayton` supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Great Ayton` would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
