Spectators: 8441 (Terracing: 6332, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Abdullah Haswani started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Hamid Munir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Workman went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Matty Carpenter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rod Bradfield scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamid Munir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Exmouth's zone, Matty Carpenter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Munir came out of the goal and Matty Carpenter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stockport's Matty Carpenter got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamid Munir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Workman, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Matty Carpenter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Munir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, David Clegg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stockport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Exmouth the free kick. After 35 played minutes Stockport got a freekick which was hit by David Clegg. In the 37th minute Safdar Shayan managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Hamid Munir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matty Carpenter in the 41st minute of the match. Matty Carpenter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hamid Munir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matty Carpenter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Munir having to interfere. The Exmouth players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stockport were winning 0-2.

Hamid Munir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matty Carpenter in the 61st minute. Sidney Workman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hamid Munir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Miles Ashby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamid Munir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matty Carpenter in the 73rd minute. After 74 minutes, Miles Ashby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockport and the Exmouth players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Exmouth booed when Stockport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miles Ashby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamid Munir was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matty Carpenter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 76 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rod Bradfield got free with Hamid Munir in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Exmouth's Hamid Munir got control of the ball when Matty Carpenter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miles Ashby was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Stockport's Miles Ashby got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Matty Carpenter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
