Yasir Farasat kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Farooq Eitazaz during the 15th minute. Aftab Farasat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ayaz Awais having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Weir FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aftab Farasat came free, but Ayaz Awais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Munir Basharat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ayaz Awais came out and tried to block the shot, but Munir Basharat slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. The supporters of Weir FC booed when New Brighton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aftab Farasat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aftab Farasat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ayaz Awais having to interfere. The supporters of Weir FC booed when New Brighton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azhar Raman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noor Farasat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ayaz Awais. Weir FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, New Brighton United's goal looked a bit too open when Farooq Eitazaz came free, but Ayaz Lodhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Munir Basharat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ayaz Awais. Weir FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Munir Basharat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Aftab Farasat made the kick off in the second half. Aftab Farasat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Munir Basharat managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Brighton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Munir Basharat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ayaz Awais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ayaz Awais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munir Basharat in the 60th minute of the match. With his leg Ayaz Lodhi managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Weir FC's Hamid Bilawal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ayaz Awais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aftab Farasat in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Javed Talib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ayaz Lodhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, New Brighton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Razi Shan to maneuver through the defense. Ayaz Lodhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javed Talib in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aftab Farasat in the 88th minute of play forced Weir FC's goalkeeper Ayaz Awais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aftab Farasat in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ayaz Awais saved Weir FC from getting behind. If Javed Talib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New Brighton United had won after a very even match.
