In the 13thth minute of the game Muhammad Naseem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Brighton United's Ayaz Lodhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jahangir Fawad hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Abdullah Malik kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. During the 22nd minute of the match Aslam Zahid completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aslam Zahid a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 23 played minutes Bromsgrove FC got a freekick which was hit by Aslam Zahid. The corner led to Bromsgrove FC's Abdullah Malik getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aftab Farasat to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Aftab Farasat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tahir Kaleem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tahir Kaleem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aftab Farasat's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Tahir Kaleem came out of the goal and Aftab Farasat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. New Brighton United's Ayaz Lodhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Naseem in the 79th minute of play.
