Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ishtiaq Irshad started the match with the kick off. Fareed Shaheed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rich Ansell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Furniss charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Furniss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Frinton getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alex Furniss hit a great ball. Ishtiaq Irshad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes Frinton got a freekick which was hit by Alex Furniss. Fareed Shaheed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Frinton got a freekick which was hit by Ivor Selby. After a defensive mix-up in Frinton's zone, Ishtiaq Irshad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rich Ansell came out of the goal and Ishtiaq Irshad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ishtiaq Irshad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Fareed Shaheed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Micklefield FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Micklefield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabir Saqib to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Usama Kashan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rich Ansell skillfully saved the ball. When Micklefield FC's Delawar Usman in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Frinton's goalie prevented a goal. Rich Ansell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ishtiaq Irshad in the 32nd minute of play. Micklefield FC's Malik Farasat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Micklefield FC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Ishtiaq Irshad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rich Ansell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Frinton's Rich Ansell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fareed Shaheed in the 41st minute of play. Fareed Shaheed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Rothwell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frinton's Rich Ansell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Frinton from getting a goal against them. Ishtiaq Irshad struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rich Ansell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Micklefield FC. Rich Ansell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fareed Shaheed showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. Fareed Shaheed's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Rich Ansell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Fareed Shaheed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute of the game, Jasim Basharat landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Stevie Davison's late challenge caught a Micklefield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stevie Davison helped the player get up and apologised. Fareed Shaheed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Rich Ansell made a huge save. The supporters of Frinton booed when Micklefield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ishtiaq Irshad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frinton's Glenn Tully couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Micklefield FC. 82 minutes into the game, Micklefield FC's Fareed Shaheed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rich Ansell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Fareed Shaheed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fareed Shaheed got free with Rich Ansell in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rich Ansell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fareed Shaheed in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Glenn Tully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Micklefield FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Frinton throughout the match.
