The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Eccles's Azghar Aamish got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Arshad Shan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Azghar Aamish during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 minutes of play, Eccles's Rafiq Shahid made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mir Barlas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fahim Khalid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arshad Shan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mir Barlas having to interfere. Razi Waqas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arshad Shan in the 87th minute of play forced Southwark's goalkeeper Mir Barlas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Husnain Mazhar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mir Barlas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Eccles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! Razi Wahid went to the wrong direction when Adam Kurd was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
