An unexpectedly hard shot by Imran Rashid in the 18th minute of play forced Windsor's goalkeeper Darryl Leighton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Windsor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodney Pamplin hit a great ball. Darryl Leighton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imran Rashid, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Rahman Naseem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Leighton having to interfere. Darryl Leighton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rahman Naseem in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Handsworth got a freekick which was hit by Munir Nouman. In the 36th minute Raza Shakir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl Leighton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Handsworth's Imran Rashid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darryl Leighton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Imran Rashid struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Darryl Leighton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Handsworth. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Imran Rashid notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Windsor's Darryl Leighton. Darryl Leighton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rahman Naseem got free with Darryl Leighton in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rahman Naseem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Imran Rashid took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Darryl Leighton to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Windsor's goalkeeper Darryl Leighton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Windsor's zone, Rahman Naseem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Leighton came out of the goal and Rahman Naseem tried to chip the ball over his head.
