Desiderio Ibar started the match with the kick off. Panos Kontogiannidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Shan in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Ali Mohsin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hussain Hanif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Kontogiannidis having to interfere. Panos Kontogiannidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shabir Haroon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yusaf Lodhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Hurtiš in the 22nd minute of play. Westbury-sub-Mendip's João Rosado suffered a sore thigh after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 23 minutes into the game, Shamshad Saqib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hilperton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westbury-sub-Mendip the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Hilperton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shamshad Saqib to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Hurtiš in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusaf Lodhi saved Hilperton from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Westbury-sub-Mendip's zone, Shabir Haroon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Kontogiannidis came out of the goal and Shabir Haroon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panos Kontogiannidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassan Shan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Desiderio Ibar got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Hurtiš in the 41st minute of play forced Hilperton's goalkeeper Yusaf Lodhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Desiderio Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusaf Lodhi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hassan Shan came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Hilperton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hassan Shan couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hassan Shan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Ibar in the 53rd minute of play forced Hilperton's goalkeeper Yusaf Lodhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Viktor Hurtiš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Hurtiš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hassan Shan got free with Panos Kontogiannidis in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Daud Bilal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ali Mohsin fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hilperton's protests and gave Ali Mohsin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hilperton's Ali Mohsin got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Viktor Hurtiš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusaf Lodhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Westbury-sub-Mendip got a freekick which was hit by Shafqat Sharif. 79 minutes into the match, Hilperton's Hassan Shan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panos Kontogiannidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Desiderio Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
