Desiderio Ibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Panos Kontogiannidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierce Graydon in the 13th minute of play. Comberton United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Viktor Hurtiš scored to the left of an out of position Theo Robson, making the score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Ibar during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the match, Desiderio Ibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo Robson. Comberton United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Desiderio Ibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 33 minutes into the game, Chaz Layfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Comberton United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westbury-sub-Mendip the free kick. After 33 played minutes Comberton United got a freekick which was hit by Chaz Layfield. Viktor Hurtiš struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Theo Robson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbury-sub-Mendip. Theo Robson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Hurtiš, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A hard shot 39 in the game by Desiderio Ibar from a close distance when the talented Theo Robson managed to make a qualified save. Comberton United's players were relieved. Panos Kontogiannidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Challis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Desiderio Ibar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viktor Hurtiš kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Işıkalp Ceberut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Robson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Karl Slade took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Panos Kontogiannidis to make any attempt to save it. If Viktor Hurtiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Viktor Hurtiš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Hurtiš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Desiderio Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbury-sub-Mendip's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Robson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Viktor Hurtiš ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Robson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Hurtiš in the 66th minute of play forced Comberton United's goalkeeper Theo Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Karl Slade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panos Kontogiannidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desiderio Ibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Theo Robson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Viktor Hurtiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theo Robson came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Westbury-sub-Mendip's Desiderio Ibar. But to his dismay, Desiderio Ibar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Panos Kontogiannidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jim Fox showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 89 minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Comberton United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Westbury-sub-Mendip.
