The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hussain Mushtaq during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ayaz Qazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azmat ul-Haq struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Denny Almond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ainsdale. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremy Renwick was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Lindfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Carsley. Ayub Barlas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 57 minutes, Azmat ul-Haq made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lindfield FC's Denny Almond tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Francis Wilkes charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Ayub Barlas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denny Almond skillfully saved the ball. Ayub Barlas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denny Almond. Lindfield FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lindfield FC's Denny Almond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azam Naseem in the 88th minute of play. Zafar ur-Rehamn made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Archie Beard sent off a good shot on target. If Azmat ul-Haq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ainsdale fully deserved thier win.
