In the 10th minute, Wellesbourne's Moazzam Rehman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Beverley in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mudasser Qureshi saved Wellesbourne from getting behind. In the 17th minute Moazzam Rehman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marlon Shearer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Abdullah ul-Haq shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marlon Shearer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Moazzam Rehman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellesbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Moazzam Rehman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marlon Shearer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moazzam Rehman in the 25th minute of play forced Micklefield City's goalkeeper Marlon Shearer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Moazzam Rehman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marlon Shearer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moazzam Rehman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Micklefield City got a freekick which was hit by Greg Archer. 40 minutes into the match, Wellesbourne's Kamil Shahrukh broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Marlon Shearer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The wind increased when Moazzam Rehman made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Wellesbourne's Sufyan Shayan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marlon Shearer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sufyan Shayan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Micklefield City's goalkeeper Marlon Shearer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Micklefield City's Marlon Shearer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moazzam Rehman in the 69th minute of play. Alfred Saville charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Saville the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Saville hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Micklefield City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wellesbourne:s goal. Kamil Shahrukh placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Marlon Shearer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moazzam Rehman in the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moazzam Rehman in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marlon Shearer saved Micklefield City from getting behind. Sufyan Shayan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moazzam Rehman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Marlon Shearer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Micklefield City's goal looked a bit too open when Moazzam Rehman came free, but Marlon Shearer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sufyan Shayan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marlon Shearer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wellesbourne had played much better football throughout.
