Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Usama Shahrukh in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Masood Ghufyan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Usama Shahrukh got free with Masood Ghufyan in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Pakistan Army FC booed when Northallerton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahman Khawar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabir Mirza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Masood Ghufyan managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Pakistan Army FC's Usama Shahrukh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pakistan Army FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
