Spectators: 7595 (Terracing: 6231, Seating: 1322, VIP seats: 42) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Husnain Faisal took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronnie Buckley scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kamran Ghufyan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Ronnie Buckley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamran Ghufyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Griffiths during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Kenilworth City got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Griffiths. Lambda's Kamran Ghufyan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stu Bowen in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Worrall in the 24th minute of play forced Lambda's goalkeeper Kamran Ghufyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Husnain Shan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Radcliffe having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronnie Buckley in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamran Ghufyan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kamran Ghufyan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Kamran Ghufyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Griffiths, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Tommy Worrall got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kamran Ghufyan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Husnain Faisal sped through Kenilworth City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trev Radcliffe. 89 minutes into the game, Kenilworth City's Tommy Worrall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kamran Ghufyan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. If Husnain Faisal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lambda fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kenilworth City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
