Stupid Goalkeepers
Spectators: 7595 (Terracing: 6231, Seating: 1322, VIP seats: 42) Northallerton's Kamran Mazhar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Nasir Haswani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ayaz Sajid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Northallerton getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rahman Khawar hit a great ball. Kamran Ghufyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rahman Khawar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Rahman Khawar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamran Ghufyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Rahman Khawar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Northallerton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Masood Ghufyan was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Husnain Faisal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Husnain Faisal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Masood Ghufyan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Husnain Faisal in the 42nd minute of play. Masood Ghufyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Husnain Shan in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Northallerton booed when Lambda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Husnain Faisal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farooq Intisar's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Kamran Ghufyan - 1-4 was put on the score board in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Husnain Shan made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamran Mazhar in the 51st minute of play forced Lambda's goalkeeper Kamran Ghufyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Northallerton's Rahman Khawar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kamran Ghufyan. That made the score 1-6 after 80 minutes of play. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lambda! When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Northallerton's Farooq Intisar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kamran Ghufyan. Kamran Ghufyan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rahman Khawar in the 97th minute. After 98 played minutes Lambda got a freekick which was hit by Sabir Mannan.
