St Annes on Sea's supporters rose to their feet, but Sadeq Al Sharah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zahid Al Khaled breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Hurdcott's goal looked a bit too open when Sadeq Al Sharah came free, but Zahid Al Khaled reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Mohammad Al Mulaifi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raed Al Khobaize. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yazeed Al Hadad in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raed Al Khobaize saved St Annes on Sea from getting behind. Zahid Al Khaled showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fahhad Al Mofede in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yazeed Al Hadad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fahhad Al Mofede's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zahid Al Khaled read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Zahid Al Khaled managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when St Annes on Sea's Sadeq Al Sharah fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Mohammad Al Mulaifi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hurdcott fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anwar Al Ghanem during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, St Annes on Sea's Anwar Al Ghanem got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Hurdcott's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
